New or Second-Hand Yacht?
A
All potential buyers like the idea of a shiny new boat with a wide selection of tailor-made extras. The reality however is that, as a buyer, you will get more yacht for your money if you buy a second-hand, considering that new boats are not all perfect and flawless.
The point is that more and more buyers are discovering that there are really great value for money opportunities in used boats, particularly older ones that have reached a point where the shine is gone, style does not follow the latest trends and the interior is used. The leading advantage of purchasing a used yacht is the great variation in the cost of a new vessel.
For example, if the price for new boat is 500.000 Euros might have a resale value of 250.000 Euros ten years later. That's a huge difference of 250.000 Euros, so it’s easy to imagine the saving of money made as well as the refurbishment that could be done (if needed) with even the quarter of that amount.
